We have a promise from God that He will be with us always. This should give us great comfort as well as caution. Matthew 18:20, 28:20, Ephesians 4:30 and II Kings 5:20-27. For this V.O.T.E broadcast, Apostle Dr. Lewis Fisher Jr., asks that you please listen read the scriptures and keep in mind "He Is Always With You. Then answer these three questions inside your heart. In the last 30 days: - Where did you take Him each day? - What did He see you do in your daily activities? - What did He hear you say in your daily conversations? Isaiah the prophet saw a child born unto us, but he saw the Son was given. There is much that happened from the child to the giving of the Son. This pattern we too must follow, and one day God will be able to give more sons. Isaiah 9:6, 53:5, Luke 2:39-52, Hebrews 12:2, John 17:4.
We, like the Athenians, often look for something new, when in truth, the message is and always will be Jesus! There is still salvation in the name of Jesus! Acts 17, Hebrews 10:1-14, and Luke 24:13-27.
The Principle of Recognition
For every real there is a counterfeit. Certainly this hold true for those that would mimic the Church of the living God. We must be spiritually aware of the false more so than ever. Matthew 7:15-20, Luke 6:44, 13:6-9, Jeremiah 23:16-17, Galatians 4:19, Philippians 4:17and I Timothy 6:10. God has been gracious to our nation. It is time for us to realize how blessed we are. Deuteronomy 4:7-8, Psalm 145:18, Proverbs 11:11, Genesis 3:8, and Matthew 5:14-16.
Of all the things the disciples witnessed Jesus doing, there was only one thing they asked to be taught. They saw the transformative power of prayer. Luke 11:1-11, II Kings 20:1-6, Matthew 21:17-22, John 9:1-41, and 11:1-44.
