On May 11, 2017, I shared a brief Word of Wisdom (WOW) for the radio program that focused on a people too busy, and as a result, like the woman with an issue, are bleeding to death in the spirit. We MUST touch Jesus, only then, will His power flow to stop our issues.
Today we measure each other by the titles we hold, various educational degrees, how many members in our churches, and so on. This is done because we believe the Lord will pay us more than others. Well, based upon Matthew 20:1-16, everyone the householder (type of Christ) hired, each received a penny, no matter when they started.
The focus of this message is on a barren woman (a type of the church), approached by God with an announcement that she would conceive and bear. Judges 13
Love is often verbalized, but very often it is not equal in demonstration. In John 14:15, Jesus said it this way, "If you love me, keep my commandments."
As believers, we need to understand that our battle position isn't in flesh, but the spirit. It is in Christ, and against an enemy that has been disarmed by the finished work of Jesus our Lord on the cross. Colossians 2:15, "Having disarmed principalities and powers."
One need only look around in any direction, and one thing becomes clear, our nation, state, city, and town, etc..., is in need of change. God has given the remedy for the change needed, You! Matthew 5:13-14 says, "You are the salt of the earth...You are the light of the world."
As believers, we have heard often about the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and yet there is a baptism that awaits us, "The Baptism of Fire." In Matthew 3:11, John said, "I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire."
As we continue this series, "The Hope of the Church," I emphasize the mandate of God for all to hear and measure up to Jesus, and the action we must take to get there. Matthew 17:5 declare the following, "While he (Peter) yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, this is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him."
Believers often ask themselves, will living a sanctified life be worth it all? Yes! Because according to I John 3:2-3, we shall be like him, and this is the hope of the Church.
At some point in our lives, going backwards is not an option, we have reached "The Point of No Return." To turn back would mean certain defeat, or even death! In John 6:68, it is clear the disciples reached this point, "Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go?
