Most often, the Holy Spirit offers to lead us, and often meets resistance. Like the apostle Paul, we need to be convicted in our own spirit to be bound to the will of God. In Acts 20:22 declared this, "And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem."
Throughout the history of war, it has always been crucial to know one's enemy, and to know one's own strength. As believers, our battle position can be found in Ephesians 6:10, "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might."
It is extremely important to understand the declaration King David made in Psalm 23:1, "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want." Many today declare they shall not want, but want much, mainly because the first part of this verse, The Lord is my shepherd, is not a present day reality.
As we all celebrate the Christmas season, be mindful of John 3:16, "For God so love the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. So you see, Christmas is a time to focus on God's love.
