Celebrating God's Faithfulness 61 Years - Date: Saturday, August 10, 2019
Event: Celebrating God’s Faithfulness 61 Years Thank You, Apostle Lewis Fisher, Jr., and Pastor Tonja Fisher, along with the Blanchard’s Grove Missionary Baptist Church family congratulate Apostle Willie Murray and Pastor Vera Murray as they celebrate 61 years of faithful ministry unto the Lord and His people. We feel honored to have been able to take part in such a glorious occasion. May God continue to bless you and lift you up higher as you carry forward the Word of God. Videos on Youtube link: Pastor Tonja reminded us that it’s our decision to grow in God. Apostle is there to lead us. Jesus walked in faith and he was our example. God wants us to mature. We grow from faith to faith. Faith means complete trust and confidence in someone. In order to trust God, we must know who he is. In order for us to know him, we must read the word of God. Faith is now.
Apostle Lewis Fisher, Jr opened with the topic “Beware of False Prophecy”. Apostle made it plain by saying false prophecy is somebody telling you something God didn’t say. God said he has already said everything he is going to say and sealed it in the book. Beware of those who speak what is not written. God is going to speak what He has already spoken. Apostle asked, “Why did Jeremiah have to send a letter to those that were in Babylon?” The answer, because Hananiah spoke falsely to the people, telling them that the king of Babylon’s yoke upon them would be broken in two years. When in fact, God had already spoken about them remaining there for 70 years. Many people will try to speak into your hearing and prophesy about what God said, try every spirit by the spirit to see if it aligns with God’s word. Many people are going through different things in life, and are anxious, making themselves prey to hear anything, because they are hoping on the wrong things.
As it was in their day, even so it is in our day. We are going through circumstances and situations, but God won’t bring us out until we have learned what we need to learn. This prophet told them not to believe what Jeremiah said. They had the assurance that God would bring them out but not until the time he had set. When we want relief from what we are going through, often, we will believe a lie, just like the people believed the lie of Hananiah. Keep in mind, when we make decisions and plans based upon a lie, then everything that is birthed from that lie is false. We must know, just like Jeremiah, that we are anchored in what God has spoken, and don’t allow anyone to add to that truth. Scriptures:
Matthew 14:13-14 Matthew 15:29-31 Matthew 6:33 Minister Barbara Walton brought forth the Word of God. She used as a topic “Does He Have A Seat In Your House?”. Minister Walton informed the congregation that they would not leave the same way they came. God was there to heal, deliver and set them free. April 27, 2019
12:00 pm Women’s Fellowship Scriptures: Romans 1:16-17, Hebrew 3: 12-19 Pastor Tonja Fisher opened the discussion with a question, “What is Faith?” , How can we grow from faith to faith? , and Lord, help me with my unbelief. Sunday Service: Touching Resurrection Life
Scriptures: John 3:1-4, 16, 21 - John 7: 50-51 - John 19:39- 42 Apostle Lewis Fisher, Jr began our service with the title “Touching Resurrection Life”. He asked us all to partake of the resurrection life. Nicodemus was a pharisee and well educated. He was greedy, hypocritical, and lacking a sense of justice. He was concerned with fulfilling the literal scripture but blinded to the spiritual significance of the scripture. When he encountered resurrection life, tradition was now in conflict with the words of life he had heard. Nicodemus heard the voice at night. It changed his life forever. God loves every one of us no matter what our background may be. Nicodemus met Jesus at night. He kept coming to understand the revelation that he had heard. Jesus resurrection was never for himself, but it was for us. Because if he can get up, we can get up also. Living for God is living holy through him as he guides our life. |
