Jeremiah 26:18, Micah the Morasthite prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and spake to all the people of Judah, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Zion shall be plowed like a field...
The plow is a sharpe instrument used to prepare the ground for planting. It literally means "to cut or engrave." Symbolically, the plow speaks of the Word of God. Our God uses His Word to plow us, so the seed will not be hindered. Some of us have been plowed, others have resisted this sharp instrument called the plow. The plow (Word) is sent to break up, root out, turn upside down, anything in us that prevents good planting. Some are running to local churches with the plow, others are turning away, finding places where the plow (Word) is not present, mainly because they do not wish to truly receive the seed of Heaven.
God wishes to plow our lives so we eventually become the plow for the nations. Consider Isaiah 41:15, "Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: Thou shalt three the mountains, and beat them small, and shall make the hills as chaff."
Are you willing to allow the plow (Word) of the Lord, to open you up, that the Word might become flesh?
In Christ,
