Exodus 19:5-6, "Now therefore, if you will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine. And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel."
As the world celebrates Independence Day (July 4th), let us be reminded of why we are to be a peculiar nation. Our forefathers established the nation upon this one principle that made the nation great: "One Nation Under God." As we obey the words of the Lord, we can become peculiar again.
