Experience the Benefits of the Brazen Laver.

So they shall wash their hands and their feet,  that they die not: and it shall be a statue forever to them, even to him and to his seed throughout their generations. Exodus 30:18-21
Picture
The Brazen Laver was a large bowl made of polished brass, and it was filled with water.  Before I go further, I want to put emphasis on this principle; only Aaron and his sons; the priests had access to the Laver.

The Lord our God emphasized that they were to wash before ministry. This was a statue that would be forever! What does that mean to us in our day?

It means that if we want to advance in the realm of the Lord, then we too must come by baptism (Laver), once and for all ....for the old man which is buried with Christ in baptism, as well as a daily washing to keep the new man cleansed and prepared for ministry.

Once we experience the Altar and the Laver, we move forward in our ministry as priests unto the Lord.

There remains only one way to God; Jesus Christ

As the burnt offering brought life to the people in Moses’ day, the Altar also reveals the fact that Christ, the perfect sacrifice, brings life to the entire world.  Note: In the description of the Altar, it is referred to as “His horns.”
Picture
All throughout the tabernacle it consistently points to Jesus our Lord. The actions at the Altar in times past are symbolic in the believer's life today; it starts with the act of repentance.  At the Altar we accept the sacrifice of the Heavenly Lamb; perfect in His offering for sin. At this point we die to our way of life; we are a new creation, born of the spirit, salvation has begun.

Dig the Ditch

Today I want to share briefly on a topic “Dig the Ditch.”
In the book of II Kings, Chapter 3, we find Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, is in alliance with Jehoram, king of Israel, and the king of Edom. The alliance was formed to fight against the King of Moab. While they were in the wilderness of Edom, they could find no water for their armies. Listen to the video and be Blessed...

God came out to man, that man might come in to Him

He began by revealing Himself by the first piece of furniture He instructed to be built, the Ark of the Testimony, or the Ark of the Covenant.

“And they shall make an ark of shittim wood: two cubits and half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof. And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, withing and without shalt thou overlay it, and shalt make upon it a crown of gold round about.” Exodus 25:10-11
Picture
The greater reached out or down to the lesser, and the perfect to the imperfect.  How humbling this is? He came out to man, that man might come in to Him. He is no longer keeping man off to a distance as it was at Mount Sinai. On Mount Sinai, God would break forth upon man or beast if they got too close to Him. Thank God for the way home! If we remain at arms length from Him, it is because we want to, not because we have to. Draw close to Him; He longs for it!

There is nothing unclear about our Father’s heart

It is to dwell among us. The Omnipotent God longs to dwell among us! Visitation is good, but habitation, is much, much, better. No wonder David was overwhelmed as he declared:
“When I think of all that you have made, the moon, sun, and the stars, what is man, that thou art mindful of him?” Psalm 119:19
Picture
We need not question His love for us; it has been proven before the beginning of time.  Can you see the picture God has so eloquently painted for us?  He made the move toward us, seeing we could not, nor did we seek to make one toward Him.
