Scriptures: Genesis 17:1-5, Romans 4:17-21
Apostle Dr. Lewis Fisher, Jr reminded us that if the enemy can take out the head, the body cannot function. He encouraged us to not let this be a time where we come in to the house of the Lord and fake it...don’t be like the little boy who cried wolf. There will be a time when we will really need to get through to God, and will not be able to if we have been faking it. Apostle then continued with the title, “I Have Made Thee.” When God makes you something, he changes nature and status just as he did with Abraham. This change qualifies you for his call. God has changed something in each of us if we have heard him and allowed him to deal with us. If we are still the same, then we are not moving forward with God. Be advised, the enemy will always have you measure what God said by what you see in the natural.

God has already made us what he called us to be, and though we may not walk in it perfectly yet, we must see ourselves as God sees us. If we are teachable, He will use different things and people to help train us to get where we need to be in him, such as family, job, local church family, etc.... This is God’s grace being expressed in a people with flaws. God says, “I declare the end from the beginning” and that is where he is taking us. Even though we mess up in life God doesn’t change his mind about what he called us into. In the midst of our imperfection, we trust God to fulfill what he said. God sees so much more in us than we see ourselves. Let us see through his eyes.
