I Have Made Thee - Part 2

Scriptures: Genesis 17:1-5, Romans 4:17-21

Apostle Dr. Lewis Fisher, Jr reminded us that if the enemy can take out the head, the body cannot function.  He encouraged us to not let this be a time where we come in to the house of the Lord and fake it...don’t be like the little boy who cried wolf. There will be a time when we will really need to get through to God, and will not be able to if we have been faking it.  Apostle then continued with the title, “I Have Made Thee.” When God makes you something, he changes nature and status just as he did with Abraham. This change qualifies you for his call. God has changed something in each of us if we have heard him and allowed him to deal with us.  If we are still the same, then we are not moving forward with God. Be advised, the enemy will always have you measure what God said by what you see in the natural.

God has already made us what he called us to be, and though we may not walk in it perfectly yet,  we must see ourselves as God sees us. If we are teachable, He will use different things and people to help train us to get where we need to be in him, such as family, job, local church family, etc....  This is God’s grace being expressed in a people with flaws. God says, “I declare the end from the beginning” and that is where he is taking us. Even though we mess up in life God doesn’t change his mind about what he called us into. In the midst of our imperfection, we trust God to fulfill what he said.  God sees so much more in us than we see ourselves. Let us see through his eyes.

I Have Made Thee

Scriptures:  Jeremiah 29:11  Genesis 17:1-5

Apostle wanted to lay a foundation in our hearing from the message, “I Have Made Thee.”  He asked us to write down or remember something that we have asked God for, but hasn’t manifested itself yet.  He told us that God heard it the first time.  Abram was no longer called this but Abraham.  He became a father of many nations.  God made him a Father of many nations even though he had but one natural son, Ishmael, the son born out of disobedience and rebellion.  As a result of Ishmael,  God did not speak to Abram for thirteen years.  Like when Abam’s name was changed to Abraham, indicating a change of nature, we too when we are born again experience a change of nature.  If we ask God for something, he only sees the thing we asked for as done. We must agree with God in order to walk with him.  We receive what we ask for the moment we ask, we just haven’t seen it.  Everything that God says is sealed.  Again, whatever he told you it is done.  God will not deny his children.  We must allow God’s process to run its course.  Can we hold on to what God has promised?”

Apostle asked us to give God glory for the healing and the deliverance he did in the sanctuary on Sunday.  He wanted us to understand that this is how God wants to move.  The Lord gave us something on Sunday.  No matter what happens after Sunday, we walk in the healing and deliverance that was given.  Apostle spoke the word of God.  Don’t forget what was spoken over our lives.  God did it to glorify his son Jesus according to the word. He reminded us that there is safety in the word of God.
God is moving in such a way that if you are not looking or listening spiritually you will miss it.

Waking Up the Fight in You

Scriptures: Isaiah 41, Ephesians 2:6, 1 Timothy 1
Apostle Lewis Fisher Jr addressed the Covenant Churches with the title “Waking Up the Fight In You”.

“Waking Up the Fight In You”.
Apostle said that Paul communicates to Timothy that people were abandoning the faith.  They were bringing false doctrine, opposing the message of salvation by faith, and not by works.  Apostle Paul wanted to make sure there was somebody who would stand for the faith.

Everything we need to help with victory is already in us.  We have expressed the nature of the Lamb long enough; it is not the time to be passive, accepting everything that the world brings to us. However, it is time for the Lion of Judah in the church to rise up and take dominion. The Lion must be seen in the streets.  We are King children and we have Kingdom Authority.
