Apostle Dr. Lewis Fisher Jr continued his message on “2020 Vision Part 3.” Apostle reminded us that our focus is on God and not on people and things. Apostle started with 2 Corinthians 4:18, we are not to look at those things which are seen, for they are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Scriptures: Hebrews 11:11, Hebrews 11:25-27, 2 Corinthians 4:18 Apostle Dr. No matter what is happening in our life right now it is temporary. How do we know it is true? Because God is not a man to lie. We have to shift our focus and keep it on God. We must look to the things we cannot see with the naked eye, like healing, deliverance and money, just to name a few. We encourage you to focus on God and trust in his word. He will not fail!

Sunday, January 19, 2020 Scripture: Numbers 23:19 Apostle Dr. Lewis Fisher Jr began by saying, that we need to make up our mind what we are going to stand for. Are we going to look up to God or to the problem? They both can’t be Lord. We are going to make the following declaration each time we come together. “God is not a man that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Therefore, I am who God says I am, I do what he says I can do, I have what he says I can have, in Jesus Name. We are declaring what God already declared about us.
Scriptures: Hebrews 5:12-13, John 14: 10-12, 2 Corinthians 5:21, 2 Kings 2:11-15, Isaiah 55:1, 11, Romans 10:6-7, Joel 2:23-26 Pastor Tonja Fisher brought forth the Word of God. Her title was “He Doeth The Works.” Pastor Tonja spoke on having the anointing to do the works of God. The power is the anointing. We must have faith as well. The anointing removes burdens and destroys yokes. Pastor Tonja made reference to Elisha who was the faithful disciple of the Prophet Elijah, and his successor. He knew then that he was to carry on the great work of Elijah, to spread the knowledge of God, to bring relief and blessing to his people, and teach them to be kind and charitable. Elisha picked up the mantle which Elijah had cast off when he went up to heaven. He felt the spirit of Elijah within him. Pastor Tonja believed that when Apostle laid hands on her during the ordination, he transferred the anointing on her for Pastor.
Scriptures: Ephesians 4:11 John 14:12 (Perfection, Ministry, Edification) Apostle Lewis Fisher Jr began with the title”Gifts with Purpose” (Perfection, Ministry, Edification). Apostle gave us the definition of perfecting, “ the Greek implies correcting all that is deficient, instructing, and completing in number and all parts. Jesus is at the right hand of God When we make mistakes, His desire is that we not die. He wants us all to come to the knowledge of who His Son really is. Apostle jotted down and read in our hearing what God had spoken into his spirit. He said, “out of his love and concern for those who would one day accept him as savior, He gave gifts to help them be and do just as He is and have done.” John 14:12 says it this way, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” God gave us gifts with purpose. We know these gifts as the five-fold ministry. The concept of the five-fold ministry comes from Ephesians 4:11, "It was Jesus who gave some to be (1) apostles, some to be (2) prophets, some to be (3) evangelists, and some to be (4) pastors and (5) teachers.". Ephesians 4:12-13 tells us that the purpose of the five-fold ministry is, "to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ." So, since the body of Christ definitely is not built up to unity in the faith and has not attained to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ, the offices of apostle and prophet must still be in effect.
Apostle asked the question, “Who is supposed to be doing the work of the ministry? The saints are supposed to be doing the work of the ministry. The saints are to be taught the way to carry out the ministry. |
