Scriptures: Numbers Luke 17: 11-19Apostle Dr. Lewis Fisher Jr began with the title “Thankfulness”. We must always believe and speak what God says. He said that he disapproves of any ailments in us so much that he sent his Son Jesus to the cross to bear it. God said, wherever he dwells there will be no illness. God dwells within us. We can go on the word of God that he takes no pleasure with any of us dealing with sickness and dead stuff. Apostle talked about the ten lepers that Jesus met. On this day they saw Jesus. They shouted from approximately 300 ft away. The principle came in Numbers. The ten lepers lifted up their voices and shouted, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us”.
Sunday Service: November 24, 2019 Scriptures: Numbers Luke 17: 11-19Apostle Dr. If we call Jesus he will hear us. He is never too far away. We must shout to the top of our voice, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. The ten lepers didn’t tell Jesus what was wrong. They just call the name of the Lord even in their darkest hour. They had to look at Jesus from afar off. They had no pride. Jesus sees them and said, Go show yourself to the Priest. They shouted Jesus for a need and he called right back. Jesus no longer saw them as a leper but as a clean person. Everything that they needed fell on them. Jesus knew that before they got to the Priest that all the dead skin was revived. As they were going, the word began to change things. As we go in obedience lives are changing, problems are dissipating as we are obedient to God's word. One leper understood what they cried out for, Jesus had delivered. He recognized what God had done and fell down and glorified him. Healing is a great thing but being made whole is greater. If we are being made whole there is nothing lacking in the spirit and in the natural.

Scriptures: John 14:18, Ruth 1:16, Romans 8:15 Apostle Dr. Lewis Fisher Jr continued his word from Wednesday night School of Ministry. Jesus knew he didn’t have days left but hours to be with his disciples. He wanted to love on them before his departure. Jesus told his disciples, I am getting ready to leave you, but I will not leave you comfortless, or as orphans (fatherless). Praise the Lord! We have received the Spirit of adoption, and are legally sons (male/female) of God. We have the same rights as those that were born into his house. We have identity now because we have a Father. God’s desire has always been that we identify with his family. God wants us to be proud to say that we are a son of God. We don’t need to earn his favor, it was given on the cross at Calvary. God is a loving father who is willing to supply all his children's needs. Learn to approach God as father; he is waiting on you. Scriptures:Matthew 24:12-13, Matthew 6:23, Jeremiah 2:1-13 Apostle Dr. Lewis Fisher Jr opened with the title, “Will Your Love Endure”. Apostle told us that according to Matthew’s gospel, something happened over time to the people’s love. In Matthew 24:12-13, he told us to remember, the love of many shall wax cold because of the increase of indignity (sin). When we are constantly exposed to indignity, it desensitizes us, so much so, that we aren’t even bothered when the name of the Lord is taken in vain. Again, when indignity abounds, love waxes cold. It’s not dead, just waxed cold. We must separate from the constant exposure of sin, and when we do, we won’t accept sin as common place. God doesn’t want us to get used to him not being there or us not being able to embrace him. Why is the church is silent on things that are going on today? Martin Luther King’s Jr said, that the church will have to repent, not for the vitriolic words and actions of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people. Remember, love does not grow cold overnight but overtime. |
