Scriptures:Matthew 24:12-13, Matthew 6:23, Jeremiah 2:1-13
Apostle Dr. Lewis Fisher Jr opened with the title, “Will Your Love Endure”. Apostle told us that according to Matthew’s gospel, something happened over time to the people’s love. In Matthew 24:12-13, he told us to remember, the love of many shall wax cold because of the increase of indignity (sin). When we are constantly exposed to indignity, it desensitizes us, so much so, that we aren’t even bothered when the name of the Lord is taken in vain. Again, when indignity abounds, love waxes cold. It’s not dead, just waxed cold.

We must separate from the constant exposure of sin, and when we do, we won’t accept sin as common place. God doesn’t want us to get used to him not being there or us not being able to embrace him. Why is the church is silent on things that are going on today? Martin Luther King’s Jr said, that the church will have to repent, not for the vitriolic words and actions of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people. Remember, love does not grow cold overnight but overtime.
