So they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they die not: and it shall be a statue forever to them, even to him and to his seed throughout their generations. Exodus 30:18-21
The Brazen Laver was a large bowl made of polished brass, and it was filled with water. Before I go further, I want to put emphasis on this principle; only Aaron and his sons; the priests had access to the Laver.
The Lord our God emphasized that they were to wash before ministry. This was a statue that would be forever! What does that mean to us in our day?
It means that if we want to advance in the realm of the Lord, then we too must come by baptism (Laver), once and for all ....for the old man which is buried with Christ in baptism, as well as a daily washing to keep the new man cleansed and prepared for ministry.
Once we experience the Altar and the Laver, we move forward in our ministry as priests unto the Lord.
