Apostle Lewis Fisher, Jr opened with the topic “Beware of False Prophecy”. Apostle made it plain by saying false prophecy is somebody telling you something God didn’t say. God said he has already said everything he is going to say and sealed it in the book. Beware of those who speak what is not written.
God is going to speak what He has already spoken. Apostle asked, “Why did Jeremiah have to send a letter to those that were in Babylon?” The answer, because Hananiah spoke falsely to the people, telling them that the king of Babylon’s yoke upon them would be broken in two years. When in fact, God had already spoken about them remaining there for 70 years.

Many people will try to speak into your hearing and prophesy about what God said, try every spirit by the spirit to see if it aligns with God’s word. Many people are going through different things in life, and are anxious, making themselves prey to hear anything, because they are hoping on the wrong things.
As it was in their day, even so it is in our day. We are going through circumstances and situations, but God won’t bring us out until we have learned what we need to learn. This prophet told them not to believe what Jeremiah said. They had the assurance that God would bring them out but not until the time he had set. When we want relief from what we are going through, often, we will believe a lie, just like the people believed the lie of Hananiah. Keep in mind, when we make decisions and plans based upon a lie, then everything that is birthed from that lie is false. We must know, just like Jeremiah, that we are anchored in what God has spoken, and don’t allow anyone to add to that truth.
