Apostle Dr. Lewis Fisher Jr began today's sermon by reminding us about the story about the lepers. The moment they turned their to go to the priest as Jesus commanded, healing took place. One of them came back and Jesus told him that his faith has made him whole. The other lepers, when they realized their healing, did not turn back to give praise to God, and was therefore hindered from being made whole. Apostle asked us the question, “What is hindering us from being made whole or walking in wholeness?” Our faith is there, but it must be tapped into. We have enough faith deposited in us to drive demons away. Apostle asked, “How much of Jesus did we receive when we became saved?” Was it a third, half, etc…? We received all of him, and all that he is. If we have Jesus on the inside of us we have faith in us, and just need to wake him up.
Our faith may not be activated but we don’t have a faith problem. We get Jesus up by praising him and glorifying his name. We need to call on him by faith, and he will hear our cry. We learn in Hebrews 11:6 that without faith it is impossible to please God. We are commanded to pray with faith, so if there is a prayer of faith, there is a song of faith, and if there is a song of faith, there is a cry of faith. We need to look at Jesus. When Peter was sinking he didn’t care that the other disciples saw him, he cried out, Jesus save me! The moment we cry out in faith Jesus will be right there for us as well. As an example of the faith in us, Jesus spoke to the fig tree and told it that no fruit will grow on it forever. Jesus spoke directly to the tree!!! The Fig Tree heard Jesus! No matter what problem(s) we might face, the problem(s) will hear Faith Filled Words! It will not hear a person quoting scripture absent of FAITH!
