Has Your Life Truly Begun?

I ask you to ponder the following quote I used in a message titled, "Meet For The Master's Use." This message can also be found in the media menu under videos.

Quote: Fear not that your life will one day come to an end. Rather fear that it shall never have a beginning." John Cardinal Newman

In the parable of the fig tree in Luke 13, the tree was alive, but it never produced life. It could not give Jesus what he wanted. What about you? You are alive, but are you giving the master (Jesus Christ) what he wants? Let us ponder this question, and give ourselves an honest assessment. Take advantage of the time (grace) god has given to produce.

In Christ

The parable is clear to me what God wants. If i planted an apple tree and fed it all it takes to grow apples from a small plant to a mature tree where it should be producing apples, but all i see is pretty green leaves, and no fruit that is disappointing. Jesus didnt ask who was the prettiest when he wanted to feed the five thousand, but he just took what the boy had and he used it to make a miracle. We understand the things in the natural because we can see it. What about in the spirit? Is your heart soft enough that God can use you to share love to someone that needs it? A kind word? Can he use you to bless someone? Help pay their light bill if they need help? I can go on and on, but the truth of the matter is he just want Decon Jeff to use his gift in a way that help someone change from their old ways. God will be pleased and get the glory.

Now is the time (if we haven't already) to be more intentional and purposeful, concerning the matters of Christ.

Absolutely Miss Barnez! I like the phrase, "Intentional and Purposeful."
