Genesis 26:13-16
13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:
14 For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.
15 For all the wells which his father's servants had digged in the days of Abraham his father, the Philistines had stopped them, and filled them with earth.
16 And Abimelech said unto Isaac, Go from us; for thou art much mightier than we.
Matthew 5:6 6 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Apostle Lewis Fisher, Jr spoke from the message “I Know Him Part lV. The life of Abraham and the life of Isaac are very similar. There was famine in the land and they both went to foreign countries. Isaac wanted to go to Egypt because Abraham lived there but God denied him permission to do so. Isaac revived the same wells of his father Abraham, and they were called by the same names. Digging the wells means claiming the ownership of the land. He had to face many problems, Yet, he was victorious because God was with him. Even through the famine, Isaac kept prospering because of the blessings of God. God blessed Isaac when he sowed the seeds. He grew richer as well as became great. He had flocks, herds, many men and maidservants. His wealth and greatness were a result of his honesty and the promise of the blessings.
He also became the object of hostility and faced the wrath of the local leader. The Philistines destroyed the wells which Isaac inherited from his father Abraham. He was robbed, threatened and sent out by Abimelech, king of the Philistines, because he became a stronger man, and they envied him. Isaac understood and experienced God as protector and provider. He put all his trust in God. If God says you are blessed, you are blessed. No matter what trials and tribulations are coming your way, he still blesses you through it all. God will connect to you and prosper you as he promised Abraham. God is doing a work in those whose heart is perfect towards him and he will draw close to you. Let your light shine so that men will see your good works and glorify God.
