Apostle Lewis Fisher Jr is asking you the congregation two questions, “Is there anything to hard for God, and Does God know you today?” So many people know of God, but do not know him.
Scriptures: Genesis 18: 16-19
16 And the men rose up from thence and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way.
17 And the Lord said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;
18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?
19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.
Apostle Lewis Fisher Jr used the title “I know Him”. He asked the congregation two questions, “Is there anything to hard for God, and Does God know you today?” So many people know of God, but do not know him.
Knowing God requires us to draw close to him, and be committed to live our life to please him. Why is this so important? Through this commitment the Lord deals with us as friends.
Abraham was known as the friend of God. In Psalms 25:14, states, “The secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him, and He will shew them his covenant.
We see this principal in our everyday life. We share the most intimate pieces of our life only with people we call our friends. Why? These are the ones that have earned our trust. In the same way, God reveals his secrets, those things He is doing and going to do to those who have earned His trust.
If you want to know God’s purpose, live obediently, in the fear of God, so that you’re worthy of his trust.
